How Covenant Connect Messaging Works

A promising conversation can make you eager to take the next step.

You may want to exchange phone numbers, move to another messaging application or begin communicating more freely.

But before you do, understand how Covenant Connect approaches communication and safety. Where to Find Your Messages

Sign In, go to → Messages to access your private conversations with mutual connections.

Your conversations appear in a list, with the newest threads displayed first. Unread counts help you identify messages that need your attention.

When you open a conversation, the message box remains at the bottom of the page, allowing you to type and send messages without repeatedly scrolling.

Send and Manage Your Messages

You can write messages, and send them directly through the conversation window.

If you make a mistake, you can edit a message you have sent. The conversation will indicate that the message was edited.

For longer conversations, use the option to load earlier messages and review previous exchanges.

You will also receive an email when someone starts a new conversation with you.

Keep Your Conversations on the Platform

Covenant Connect displays a safety notice advising members against moving conversations outside the platform.

The notice also states that members are responsible for decisions, actions and inactions made outside the platform.

This is an important reminder to think carefully about your online interactions.

Moving conversations elsewhere may mean leaving behind some of the context and safeguards associated with the platform.

Take time to understand the risks before making that decision.

Never feel pressured to share personal information or move a conversation simply because someone insists.

Communicate with Wisdom

As you get to know another member, remain thoughtful about what you share and how quickly you proceed.

Ask questions, pay attention to consistency and respect each other's boundaries.
