Privacy Policy

We collect the information you give us and a small amount created automatically:

• Account details — name, email address and password credentials (passwords are stored only as salted hashes by our authentication provider).
• Match Spotlight answers — faith background, denomination, relationship goals, values, interests, lifestyle and location.
• Profile media and contact handles — photos, Instagram handle and a contact email, if you choose to add them.
• Activity — connection requests, messages, profile views, saved matches and notification preferences.
• Technical data — device, browser and log information needed to keep the service secure.

• To create your profile and generate compatibility matches.
• To facilitate introductions, messaging and community events.
• To send service messages such as verification, security and notification emails.
• To review profiles for safety and to enforce our community standards.
• To improve our matching quality and measure how the service is used.

Before you register, the Match Spotlight preview shows only anonymised details — initials, age range, general location, denomination and shared values. Names, photos, Instagram handles and email addresses are never shown to signed-out visitors.

Photos become visible to paying members. Contact details such as Instagram and email are only released after both members have accepted a connection request, on the membership tiers where that feature is included. You can withdraw a connection at any time.

Silver, Gold and Platinum members are automatically included in our privacy-safe social ad cards, and are briefed about this when they join. An ad card can show your initials, an age range, a general location, denomination, faith level, a few values or traits, a short quote, and an artistically blurred treatment of your approved photo.

An ad card never shows your full name, exact age, precise location, Instagram handle, email, phone number, WhatsApp number, or an unblurred photo. You can switch social ad shares off at any time from Profile settings, and we will stop using your details in new creative.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate — hosting, database, email delivery and payment processing — under contracts that require them to protect it, and where the law requires disclosure.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active, and for a limited period afterwards where we must retain records for legal or safety reasons. Access is restricted by row-level security rules so members can only reach their own private data.

• Update or correct your profile at any time from your dashboard.
• Control which alerts and emails you receive from notification preferences.
• Hide your profile from the public Spotlight preview.
• Turn off privacy-safe social ad shares from your profile settings.
• Request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account.

Covenant Connect is only for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
